We visited during the first weekend in Feb and booked Winn, Haven and Dumble cottage. All 3 cottages were beautiful and very very comfortable. The added extra of the pool made the weekend perfect and can 1000% recommend.

We have just returned today from a new years family get together. Was a perfect halfway marker for all 14 of us to get to and it was just the perfect place too. We stayed in 3 of the 4 cottages (woodshed, haven & winn) and ages 5-60. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. The bedrooms were all very comfortable and every cottage has its own individual look.
the kitchens were well equipped for large family meals and due to the mild weather we even used the BBQ!!!
The swimming pool was a massive bonus and plenty of pool noodles, floats and balls for the smaller ones of our group.
Everyone had the best time. There are some beautiful walks on the doorstep and carsington water is 5 mins away by car with long and short walks available. Thank you Vikki and Tim you have brought our family together for the 1st time in over a year, and we couldnt have asked for a better place to have it. We will definitely be back.

I stayed for a week in Dumble Cottage. The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need for a self catering holiday. The swimming pool is a very good size and perfect for 50 lengths getting real exercise, it's not just a 'play pool' like with many holiday rentals. It was also the perfect temperature, no chill at all on getting in but refreshing to swim for exercise. The cottage and pool were both spotlessly kept and Tim and Viki were very friendly and welcoming.
I am already planning on returning next year. I highly recommend these cottages and facilities to anyone wanting to stay in this beautiful area.

Some places are special - Netherton Hall is one of those rare finds. This was our second stay. This time we choose Winn to meet up with family and bring the dogs. It was utterly spotless, totally cosy and comfortable and we will be back. The cottage is an upside down house and the owners have thought of everything, even prepping the woodburner.
The cottages are near Carsington Waters and Wirksworth, down a lane and that accounts for some of the peacefulness; the rest comes from owners who go above and beyond and have created a fabulous set up where they set holiday makers up to totally chill.

We had a lovely week at The Woodshed. Tim and Vikki were very helpful but not obtrusive. The pool was amazing. We enjoyed visiting Alton Towers, Carsington Water and the Heights of Abraham. We would definitely return.

Really needed a weekend away to de stress and relax, but wanted to be able to enjoy a swim, and also didn't want to travel too far.. Netherton Hall ticked all the boxes and on arrival , it didn't disappoint.
We stayed at the 'Woodshed' , as I have allergies and needed accommodation that didn't allow dogs, and the owners keep this property ' pet free '. The attention to detail and standard of furnishings was wonderful. Loved the underfloor heating and the log burner ( with logs, kindling and newspaper provided). And also a lovely welcome basket with a few essentials ( thanks for the wine ! ). The pool was fantastic, spotlessly clean and just the right temp. The funky prints and coloured mood lighting are also a great touch, as is the view.
